Known for its commitment to freshness, quality, variety, and excellent customer service, Upper Crust Food Service fills a unique role in the hospitality industry by addressing a common problem faced by Greek life housing – the lack of consistency and professionalism in kitchen operations. Since its inception, the company envisioned creating a streamlined and professional kitchen environment that promotes healthy and fresh food options for students active in Greek life across the United States. Today, Upper Crust Food Service prepares tens of thousands of meals weekly, serving hundreds of campuses and fostering a culture of care, quality, and consistency.
Upper Crust Food Service operates as a full-service food provider with a strong emphasis on delivering healthy and personalized food service experiences tailored to the needs of collegiate Greek organizations. The company’s operating philosophy centers around teamwork, professionalism, and culinary excellence, all delivered within a work environment that values balance and respects employees’ time. One of the standout benefits of working at Upper Crust Food Service is the lifestyle the team enjoys, which includes infrequent late nights and limited weekend hours, making it an appealing choice for individuals who prioritize work-life balance.
The role of Kitchen Assistant at Upper Crust Food Service is a pivotal part of the culinary team. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support the Head Chef and Sous Chef by preparing food as directed, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen, and ensuring that equipment and supplies are properly stocked and operational. This position requires not only culinary skill but a positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset, as you will be working closely with fellow staff members and interacting with customers regularly. The company places high value on professionalism and the ability to maintain a clean and efficient kitchen to deliver outstanding meal experiences.
Kitchen Assistants at Upper Crust Food Service contribute directly to the company’s mission of delivering fresh, healthy food to Greek life organizations nationwide. The position is designed for individuals passionate about food preparation and service, ideally those who are classically trained in the culinary arts or who have significant experience in professional kitchen environments. It offers opportunities to develop culinary skills, learn industry best practices, and be a part of a committed and passionate team.
Upper Crust Food Service also offers competitive benefits, including paid vacations, health, dental, vision, and pet insurance, as well as a 401K plan with company match. The company values its employees and aims to create a supportive and rewarding workspace. If you thrive in fast-paced food service settings and enjoy making a positive impact through food, this position presents a unique chance to join a growing and respected culinary team dedicated to excellence and consistency.
