Job Requirements

  • Must have and maintain an active Management Level Food Handlers' Certification (ServSafe)
  • Adhere to local food handler requirements
  • Consistently perform all duties responsibly and efficiently
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to handle physical demands including lifting up to 40 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in fast-paced environments
  • Maintain a professional appearance and high sense of urgency
  • Willingness to work weekdays as scheduled with no weekends
  • Ability to comply with OSHA and Department of Health safety guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary degree preferred but not required
  • 3-5 years of kitchen management experience in moderate to high-volume full-service restaurant or equivalent
  • Demonstrated upward career growth with strong attendance and safety records
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Strong culinary skills and leadership abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and other business tools
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation procedures
  • Interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to delegate and hold staff accountable
  • Strong commitment to teamwork and positive change
  • Ability to support and collaborate with union employees if applicable
  • Ability to speak Spanish is a plus

Job Duties

  • Achieve company objectives and goals
  • Foster and promote the Flagship brand and values within the culinary culture
  • Promote and ensure staff adherence to Flagship's safety culture
  • Maintain a safe working environment by using proper food handling and safety guidelines
  • Develop and maintain an employee engagement program based on company values
  • Partner with management and HR on employee issues and performance reviews
  • Manage staff scheduling, time tracking, and performance evaluations
  • Communicate job expectations and coach employees
  • Continuously improve the customer experience
  • Oversee food procurement, production, service, and quality standards
  • Conduct daily line checks and food reviews
  • Ensure kitchen cleanliness and pass Health Department audits
  • Train staff on sanitation guidelines
  • Interview and onboard new team members
  • Perform additional assigned duties as needed
