Job Description
Our hotel is a premier hospitality establishment dedicated to providing exceptional guest experiences through superior customer service, cleanliness, and attention to detail. As a full-service hotel, we offer comfortable accommodations, a wide range of amenities, and a welcoming environment that caters to both leisure and business travelers. With a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction, we strive to create an inviting atmosphere that guests can enjoy throughout their stay.
We are currently seeking a Housekeeping Manager to oversee the operation of our housekeeping and laundry departments. This managerial role focuses on ensuring orderly, attractive, and hygienic conditions throughout various hotel areas, including guest rooms, public spaces, and service areas. The Housekeeping Manager plays a pivotal part in promoting a culture of cleanliness and superior customer care, directly impacting the overall guest experience. The position is hourly paid at $17.13 per hour and includes benefits such as sick pay after 90 days and hotel discounts.
In this role, the Housekeeping Manager will supervise and coordinate housekeeping staff activities, monitor the quality of cleaning and laundry services, and ensure compliance with safety regulations particularly related to chemical handling as per material safety data sheets. Responsibilities include conducting deep cleaning tasks such as vacuuming carpets, stripping and waxing floors, scrubbing walls, polishing metalwork, and spot-cleaning high-touch surfaces to maintain impeccable standards. The manager will assist housekeepers with demanding tasks including bed stripping, mattress rotation, moving oversized items, and linen delivery to guest rooms.
Additionally, the position requires the Housekeeping Manager to manage trash and debris removal from assigned floors, secure storage and linen rooms, and maintain back-of-house security by checking locks and promptly reporting maintenance or safety issues. This role requires a candidate with excellent attention to detail, physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and handle cleaning equipment during shifts, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
Our ideal Housekeeping Manager possesses a high school diploma or GED, with previous housekeeping and customer service experience being preferred. The ability to work independently while adhering to established housekeeping standards is essential. This role is critical in maintaining the hotel’s welcoming environment and reinforcing our commitment to guest satisfaction and operational excellence.
We are an equal opportunity employer, valuing diversity and inclusion, and we prohibit discrimination or harassment based on race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability, genetics, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other protected characteristic under federal, state, or local laws.
