Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a professional kitchen
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and handle kitchen equipment safely
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or similar culinary leadership role
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food preparation
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to train and develop kitchen staff
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and resolve issues quickly
- Basic understanding of inventory and payroll processes
Job Duties
- Train all kitchen associates on job duties including plate presentation and display work
- Write schedules, evaluate, and direct all kitchen personnel
- Maintain open verbal and written communication between management and associates
- Write and present disciplinary actions as needed
- Provide associates with necessary tools and equipment
- Take immediate action to resolve kitchen problems
- Participate in monthly department meetings, weekly staff and kitchen meetings, and monthly kitchen inventory
- Ensure all food served is high quality and prepared according to recipes
- Assist in establishing goals, standards, and objectives
- Supervise entire kitchen staff and utility associates in absence of Executive Chef
- Maintain records including roast meat charts and recipe cards
- Ensure payroll hours are submitted timely to Accounting
