Job Requirements

  • At least one year of progressive experience in a lifestyle or luxury hotel Rooms Department
  • Or four-year college degree plus at least one year of hotel Rooms Department experience
  • Or two-year college degree plus at least two years of hotel Rooms Department experience
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Weekend availability
  • Ability to work on-site in New York City

Job Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory experience in a lifestyle or luxury hotel Rooms Department
  • Strong communication and active listening skills
  • Proficiency with Windows-based systems
  • Ability to solve problems and make decisions rapidly
  • Experienced in managing financial data and hotel operational reports
  • Calm and organized under pressure
  • FSD Certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Lead daily operations of the Rooms Division including Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Engineering
  • Support department leaders to ensure service standards are met
  • Serve as senior operational leader in the Director’s absence
  • Participate in Manager-on-Duty coverage and remain visible in public areas during peak times
  • Conduct training, coaching, and ensure compliance with company standards
  • Assist with staffing, scheduling, inspections, preventative maintenance, and deep-cleaning programs
  • Collaborate with Front Desk leadership on oversell settings and daily operational pacing
