This position is for a Hotel General Manager at an IHG mid-scale hotel located in Lexington/Versailles. Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in hotel management, hospitality management, business administration, or related field
- Three to five years of management experience in the hotel or hospitality industry
- Knowledge of business and management principles
- Knowledge of effective customer service processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Proficiency with Property Management System software
- Mathematical skills for financial interpretation and budgeting
- Ability to read and understand safety manuals, operating instructions, and procedure documents
- Effective presentation and communication skills
- Problem-solving skills including defining issues, collecting data, and drawing conclusions

Job Duties
- Manage all hotel operations including budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, and compliance with policies and standards
- Execute sales and marketing activities to meet or exceed hotel’s plan
- Meet or exceed guest service satisfaction standards through evaluations and complaint resolution
- Manage and develop the executive team to ensure performance and career progression
- Create an operating environment that ensures employee and guest satisfaction
- Manage hotel profitability to meet revenue and satisfaction targets
- Identify and correct operational performance, productivity, and efficiency gaps
- Serve as primary liaison with hotel owners and corporate entities
- Ensure safety practices for employees and guests
- Ensure compliance with all government laws and regulations
- Recruit, interview, and train hotel staff
- Conduct annual staff performance evaluations and provide coaching
- Perform other related duties as needed
