We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team. This role is integral to supporting the General Manager in the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring the seamless delivery of 5-star service to our guests. The Assistant General Manager will be responsible for overseeing various departmental functions, managing teams, and stepping in to lead during the General Manager's absence. The ideal candidate possesses a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or a related field, with a robust background in hospitality operations and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

In this leadership role, you will analyze department performance to recommend and implement improvements that enhance hotel profitability. Managing compliance with company policies and legal regulations is essential, as is collaborating with department heads to compose annual budgets and conduct profitability audits. You will also facilitate human resource functions, including staff motivation, retention, and development, to maintain a high-performing and engaged workforce.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field
  • Minimum three years of experience in hospitality management

  • Thorough knowledge of local, state, and federal laws relevant to hotel operations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities

Job Qualifications

  • Strong emphasis on putting the guest first and providing exceptional customer service
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, especially in hospitality management
  • Previous experience managing a team, preferably in a hospitality role such as department manager
  • Three or more years of experience working in the hospitality field
  • Excellent organizational skills, communication skills, and problem-solving skills

Job Duties

  • Recommend improvements that will improve the hotel profitability by analyzing department performance and identifying problem areas
  • Manage compliance with company or brand established policies and procedures and any local, state, and federal laws and regulations
  • Support the general manager in the daily operation of the hotel to ensure that all guest service standards are met
  • Compose an annual budget in coordination with department heads and the general manager, and perform audits throughout the year to ensure profitability
  • Facilitate management of the hotel's human resources functions, such as HR administration, turnover control, staff motivation, and employee development and retention
