Job Description
The Ned NoMad is an exclusive and sophisticated members' club and hotel located in the vibrant heart of New York City. As the first international outpost of The Ned, which originally debuted with great success in London in 2017, The Ned NoMad proudly opened its doors in the summer of 2022. Positioned within the historic Johnston Building—former home of the NoMad Hotel and a landmark dating back to 1903—this distinctive property balances the charm of its rich architectural legacy with fresh, modern design touches brought by the Soho House Design team. This synthesis of heritage and contemporary style creates a unique atmosphere where guests can enjoy a luxurious, yet welcoming experience.
The property boasts 167 elegantly designed bedrooms and suites, complemented by an eclectic array of exclusive and public amenities including a lively rooftop bar and terrace restaurant, a first-floor bar, restaurant, and lounge, as well as nightly live entertainment. These offerings position The Ned NoMad as a premier destination for members and guests seeking a stylish yet comfortable urban retreat.
The role of Host at The Ned NoMad is a vital position within this dynamic hospitality environment. Reporting directly to the Maitre'D, the Host serves as a first point of contact for members and guests, delivering exceptional customer service while managing reservations, answering inquiries, and maintaining an organized, efficient workstation. This role is crucial in creating positive and memorable guest interactions from arrival to departure. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, efficiently multitask, and demonstrate a keen attention to detail.
We are seeking a proactive, approachable, and professional individual who excels in collaboration and communication. The Host must be committed to fostering a welcoming atmosphere for all members and guests, effectively resolve concerns in real time, and contribute to a seamless front-of-house operation by supporting the FOH team. The position offers full-time or part-time employment opportunities with a competitive hourly wage of $24.00, reflecting the importance of the role within The Ned's service culture.
Joining The Ned NoMad means becoming part of a community where energy, creativity, and dedication to exceptional hospitality are valued. We celebrate diversity and inclusion, welcoming applications from candidates of all backgrounds. This role presents not only a job but a pathway to career development within an esteemed global hospitality brand known for its excellence and innovation.
