Job Requirements

  • Valid documentation of the right to work in the U.S
  • At least five years of experience as a Head Sushi Chef or higher
  • Excellent communication skills in English both written and verbal
  • Ability to follow recipes, processes and standards
  • Drive and ambition to learn and grow within the team
  • Full ownership of the role
  • Possession of a valid Food Handler Card

Job Duties

  • Develop and execute exceptional quality dishes adhering to SUSHI SAMBA standards of excellence
  • Create and implement seasonal menu changes in conjunction with senior chefs
  • Maintain exceptional knowledge of all seafood products and skilfully apply culinary excellence
  • Execute recipes in line with SUSHI SAMBA standards
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, procedures and standards
  • Ensure that each station is stocked with specified tools, supplies and equipment to meet the business demands
  • Direct, train and upskill members of the SUSHI SAMBA team
