Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- at least two years of kitchen manager experience
- certification in food safety such as Serve Safe or QFO
- ability to work in high-stress environments
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- physical ability to stand walk lift up to 40 pounds
- willingness to perform various kitchen tasks including prep and line work
Job Qualifications
- At least two years of kitchen manager experience
- equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience considered
- certified in Serve Safe or other Qualified Food Operator certificate
- proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills
- ability to work in high-stress environments
Job Duties
- Oversees the operations of the kitchen and back-of-house ensuring food is prepared safely efficiently and according to Mecha specifications
- ensures kitchen runs in accordance with health safety and hygiene codes maintaining a Department of Health score of 95 or better
- motivates team to create a positive and productive environment
- procures hires teaches trains and develops team members at every back-of-house position
- manages labor and schedules to meet business needs and follow required labor standards
- manages ordering production and waste processes to ensure food cost meets allotted standards
- maintains and inspects kitchen equipment and utensils recommending repairs or replacements as needed
- partners with management and team members in front-of-house and back-of-house to support a cohesive team
- maintains kitchen budget and conducts period-end inventory
- performs other work-related duties including working the line prep and executing quality control
