Job Requirements

  • 7+ years of high-volume cooking experience
  • 3+ years in supervisory or leadership role
  • strong knowledge of food safety standards and protocols
  • ability to manage and lead a diverse kitchen team
  • proficient with digital tools for scheduling and inventory management
  • availability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs

Job Qualifications

  • 7+ years of high-volume, batch-cooking experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role
  • Hands-on leader with a passion for food and team development
  • Experienced in a range of cuisines, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment
  • Organized, solutions-oriented, with excellent time management and a strong sense of urgency
  • Deep knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene protocols
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable using Google Workspace, Slack, and culinary software
  • Deep knowledge of HACCP, ServSafe, and kitchen safety protocols
  • Committed to building an inclusive, respectful, and high-performing kitchen culture
  • Experience with recipe scaling, production planning, and inventory control
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead internally and collaborate cross-functionally
  • Positive, calm, and professional demeanor
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and variable shifts as needed
  • Spanish-speaking or bilingual candidates strongly encouraged

Job Duties

  • Oversee the daily execution of prepared foods for Good Eggs culinary and partnership programs
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Product, Sourcing, and Marketing to launch and iterate products
  • Oversee hiring, coaching, and performance management of the kitchen team
  • Foster a high-performance culture rooted in accountability, collaboration, and respect
  • Champion food quality, food and kitchen safety, and sanitation practices across the team
  • Manage and delegate daily production lists, ensuring timelines are met and standards upheld
  • Use digital tools to translate recipes into production plans and schedules
