Job Requirements
- Culinary degree or related training in hospitality or restaurant industry
- minimum two years of relevant professional experience
- familiarity with luxury brand standards preferred
- Food Safety Manager Certification preferred or must be attained within 30 days
- ability to lead and motivate kitchen staff
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to maintain consistent quality and standards
- competent in kitchen inventory and food costing
- capability to work safely in a high-temperature kitchen environment
- flexibility with variable work schedules
- physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- ability to thrive under pressure
- willingness to comply with company policies and maintain a professional attitude
Job Qualifications
- Culinary degree or related training equivalent in the hospitality or restaurant industry
- minimum two years of relevant work experience in a similar role
- experience within luxury brands or markets preferred
- Food Safety Manager Certification preferred or required within 30 days
- strong leadership and strategic planning abilities
- advanced written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- ability to uphold service standards
- ability to motivate and manage a cohesive team
- proficient in financial and data analysis
- excellent organizational and time management skills
- skilled in preparing diverse culinary offerings
Job Duties
- Maintain a file of recipes including ingredients, portions, and preparation directions
- assist the Executive Chef in developing menus, recipe cards, and specifications
- set standards and methods for portion control
- ensure all recipes are followed exactly and consistently
- assume responsibility for the kitchen in absence of Executive Chef
- monitor inventory daily to ensure proper levels and quality
- manage food and labor costs within budgeted guidelines
- arrange training of staff on equipment use and cleaning
- assist with organizing kitchen meetings monthly
- participate in performance appraisals and progressive discipline
- assist Executive Chef with staff development and coaching
- attend manager and mandatory meetings
- maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization standards
- complete daily kitchen walkthroughs
- assist in tracking food costs and completing monthly inventory
