The Guest Services Liaison position at University Medical Center Phoenix is a pivotal role in delivering exceptional healthcare hospitality. Serving as the welcoming face of the hospital, this role involves creating memorable first impressions by greeting patients and visitors warmly, expertly guiding them through the facility, and acting as a trusted resource across a wide range of needs. From wayfinding assistance to coordinating special accommodations, the liaison ensures each interaction exemplifies the hospital's dedication to superior service. This position demands a natural communicator who enjoys helping others and is capable of working independently to resolve problems with a positive and professional demeanor. Scheduled for evening shifts from 1 pm to 9:30 pm with rotating weekends, the role supports the smooth operation of the patient concierge services department by facilitating communication between guests and care teams. Responsibilities include visitor authorization, arranging transportation, and handling special requests, all with the goal of enhancing the patient and guest experience. Job Duties
- Meet, greet and assist patients and guests and provide general information regarding the services, the facility, and geographical area
- Respond to special requests from patients, customers and guests
- make special arrangements to ensure unique needs are met
- Assist patients and guests with scheduling transportation or other services as needed
- Gather, summarize and provide information to patients and their guests about the property and surrounding area amenities and establishments
- Coordinate patient needs with other departments or areas
- contact appropriate individual or department as necessary to resolve patient requests
- Coordinate access to the care delivery area, perform visitor authorization procedures, serve as a liaison between visitors and staff, relay visitor concerns to staff, and coordinate visitor support services
- Answer phone, transfer calls, take messages and relay messages and information as needed
- Provide tours of the facility and walk customers to appropriate areas within the facility
- Perform functions within established parameters, assisting patient and guest inquiries to ensure a positive experience
