The Senior Sourcing and Procurement Specialist - Senior Advisor role at Zebra is a critical position within the global supply chain team, uniquely designed for an experienced independent contributor with deep category expertise in strategic sourcing, procurement, and supplier management. This position equips the successful candidate with the tools and platform to lead multiple complex projects with regional to global reach over a 12- to 36-month horizon. The role requires managing and executing end-to-end sourcing initiatives across the Travel category, which includes travel management companies, airlines, hotels, ground transportation, corporate card programs, and payment solutions.
As a senior advisor, the individual will serve as a recognized expert and trusted partner delivering strategic sourcing insights and driving procurement transformation initiatives with an innovation mindset. They will engage with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with evolving business goals, continuously pursue cost-saving opportunities and operational improvements, and ensure supplier performance meets business expectations. This role calls for exceptional negotiation skills, supplier partnership management, and the ability to manage change in a fast-paced, high-growth global environment.
In addition to category management and sourcing excellence, the senior advisor will own travel operations, coordinating various activities including communication of new tools and services, training, system escalations, policy enforcement, audits, and reporting. This role combines strategic leadership with operational execution, contributing directly to Zebra's mission to innovate and excel in supply chain management with a customer-first approach.
Zebra offers a competitive salary range of $156,960 to $235,440 annually, along with a performance-based annual cash incentive target of 20% of base pay. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- 12 plus years of experience
- Sourcing, procurement, supplier management experience
- Category management experience in Travel
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects
- Demonstrated negotiation and contract management skills
- Proficient in data analytics and procurement software
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Willingness to travel approximately 10 to 15 percent
- Ability to work onsite in Lincolnshire, IL preferred with hybrid options in Chicago, IL and Holtsville, NY
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams collaboratively
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to drive process improvements and manage complex issues
- Ability to implement new tools and automate business processes
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 12 or more years of sourcing, procurement, and supplier management experience
- Category management experience in Travel
- Proven track record in global multi-year category strategy development
- Demonstrable experience in procurement and travel transformation initiatives
- Expertise in strategic sourcing and execution of complex projects
- Strong negotiation and supplier partnership skills
- Experience in contract management and compliance
- Ability to manage strategic supplier relationships
- Skilled in stakeholder communication and influencing at senior levels
- Proficiency in data-driven decision making and digital tools
- Advanced analytical and project management skills
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Oracle iProcurement, Workday Scout, SpendHQ, and Power BI dashboards
- Experience leading cross-functional teams
- Preferred master's degree
- Preferred experience with Navan
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage ambiguity and drive change

Job Duties
- Inspire trust and confidence with executive leadership
- Engage with management and stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives balancing RFx process and total cost of ownership evaluations
- Manage 8 or more complex regional to global projects simultaneously
- Lead full sourcing process including market analysis, supplier negotiations, contract execution, and monitoring
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop annual category management plans with 1 to 3-year horizons
- Perform detailed total cost of ownership evaluations, pricing audits, and impact analysis for cost improvements
- Manage end-to-end travel operations including communication, training, system escalations, policy exceptions, audits, and reporting
