Job Description

Currently, Crestline Hotels & Resorts is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager for a new construction property opening in Allentown. This critical leadership role focuses on steering a multi-million dollar business unit to sustained success through strong guidance, strategic planning, and exceptional customer service initiatives. The General Manager will play a vital role in balancing hands-on operational management with long-term strategic goals, driving a cohesive team culture, and aggressively expanding market share against local competition.

The role is designed for a leader who excels in fast-paced environments and thrives on developing and maximizing the potential of their associates. As the General Manager, you will be expected to establish strong relationships with hotel ownership, key hotel leaders, staff members, and corporate partners. You will act as the primary point of contact and decision-maker, responsible for aligning property goals with corporate standards while fostering an environment that promotes growth, innovation, and exemplary service.

Key responsibilities include maintaining a strong focus on Crestline's core success measures such as Revenue Index, Flex/Flow, and Guest Satisfaction, with a goal to immediately influence and improve these metrics upon taking the helm. Developing a comprehensive staff optimization plan within the first 30 days is essential to ensure every team member and leader clearly understands their mission and is equipped with the necessary tools to deliver industry-leading service and satisfaction. Establishing positive relationships with all sales personnel, including onsite and regional sales leadership, along with corporate marketing, is imperative for strengthening brand presence and driving revenue.

To excel in this position, candidates must bring substantial hotel management experience, preferably with a background in premium brands such as Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott, or IHG. Advanced proficiency in computer and office skills is required to manage communications effectively and analyze operational reports, spreadsheets, and databases. Experience with hotel information and accounting systems relevant to the brand is also crucial to monitor and adjust financial and operational metrics successfully.

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of General Manager experience in a Select Service Hotel or 4+ years as an Assistant General Manager
  • Proficiency in computer and office software including email, spreadsheets, and databases
  • Experience with hotel information and accounting systems
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with ownership, corporate staff, and sales teams
  • Capability to analyze financial and operational reports
  • Availability to work in Allentown location
  • Commitment to Crestline Hotels & Resorts’ core success measures and customer service initiatives

Job Qualifications

  • Previous 2+ years of General Manager experience within a busy Select Service Hotel or 4+ years as an Assistant General Manager
  • Experience with premium hotel brands such as Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott, or IHG highly preferred
  • Proficiency with hotel information systems and accounting systems pertinent to the brand
  • Strong computer and office skills including effective email communication and data analysis using spreadsheets and databases
  • Proven leadership ability in managing multi-million dollar hotel operations
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Job Duties

  • Focus on Crestline's key success measures such as Revenue Index, Flex/Flow, and Guest Satisfaction to improve performance
  • Develop and implement a staff optimization plan within the first 30 days to ensure leaders and associates are fully prepared to deliver exceptional service
  • Build and maintain relationships with hotel ownership and corporate staff within the first 30 days
  • Establish positive relationships with all sales personnel including onsite Sales, Regional Director of Sales, and corporate Sales & Marketing Leadership
  • Balance strategic planning with hands-on execution on the hotel floor in a fast-paced environment
  • Monitor and manage the hotel’s operational and financial performance for sustainable growth
  • Maximize associate potential through coaching, training, and team development
