Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Complete designated cashier and closing reports in the computer system
  • review employee shift logs and daily memos and document relevant information
  • contact appropriate personnel or departments (e.g., bell staff, housekeeping) to resolve guest calls, requests, or issues
  • process guest check-ins by confirming reservations, verifying guest identity, requesting payment method, assigning rooms, and issuing room keys
  • sell rooms to walk-in guests based on availability
  • ensure rates comply with market standards and document exceptions
  • scan and post charges from various points of sale to room accounts
  • assist management with employee training, evaluations, coaching, discipline, and motivation
  • report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions
  • comply with company policies, maintain professional appearance, confidentiality, and protect company assets
  • greet and recognize guests per company standards, anticipate and fulfill service needs, thank guests warmly
  • use clear professional language and proper telephone protocols
  • cultivate positive working relationships
  • ensure quality standards compliance
  • stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • move and lift objects up to 25 pounds without assistance
  • perform other reasonable duties as assigned
