As one of the largest retail chains in the world, Walmart offers a dynamic work environment where associates play a vital role in delivering excellent service and maintaining the store’s appeal to shoppers. This particular location is dedicated to serving the Orlando community by continually enhancing the shopping experience through efficient store operations and creative merchandising strategies.
The role of a Food and Consumables associate at Walmart Supercenter #3782 is a part-time position, offering hourly wages ranging from $15 to $28 depending on the job location and shift. Beyond the base pay, associates may receive additional performance incentives on an annual or quarterly basis, as well as premiums that vary between $0.35 and $3.00 per hour under specific circumstances such as schedule, facility, or specific work performed. Available shifts for this role include mid-shift and closing shifts.
As a Food and Consumables associate, you will be the face of Walmart to many customers, responsible for ensuring that shelves are stocked with merchandise and that seasonal and promotional displays are both attractive and strategically placed to meet customer needs. This position requires a keen eye for detail and creativity in merchandising, balanced with the responsibility of prompt and accurate stocking of incoming products.
Walmart values its associates by offering a comprehensive benefits package designed to support both personal and professional growth. Employees at this location can access health benefits including medical, vision, and dental coverage. Financial benefits include a 401(k) plan, stock purchase opportunities, and company-paid life insurance. Paid time off is provided for various needs including vacation, sick leave, parental leave, family care, bereavement, jury duty, and voting. Additionally, associates have access to short-term and long-term disability benefits, company discounts, military leave pay, and adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement.
One of Walmart’s standout benefits is the Live Better U program, which offers Walmart-paid education benefits to full-time and part-time associates. This program covers tuition, books, and fees for education ranging from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, as well as English language learning and short-form certificates.
Walmart is committed to maintaining a safe, drug-free workplace with a strict no tolerance policy regarding illegal drugs or alcohol during work hours. This commitment ensures a safe and productive environment for all employees and customers alike.
Joining Walmart as a Food and Consumables associate means becoming part of a globally recognized brand that values diversity, customer care, and employee development. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in fast-paced retail environments, enjoy teamwork, and are passionate about delivering excellent customer service while engaging in creative merchandising efforts.
