Job Description

The Standard is a globally recognized hospitality brand known for its cultural engagement, inclusive spirit, and creative attitude. Renowned for pioneering hospitality experiences, The Standard blends impeccable design, detail, and service to create destinations rich with events and entertainments that leave guests with lasting, memorable experiences. The hotels attract a taste-making clientele and serve as vibrant platforms for culture, creativity, and social interaction. Each hotel is not just a place to stay but a stage where guests can be themselves, make new friends, and enjoy a diverse array of activities and cultural experiences. The Standard's commitment to empowering a diverse community of team members, collaborators, and guests fosters an environment where creativity and genuine connections thrive. This mission is deeply embedded in the hotel's purpose of being an anchor in its neighborhoods as well as a platform for cultural exchange and fun.

The role of Food and Beverage Manager at The Standard, High Line, embodies this ethos by taking charge of the food and beverage operations within The Standard Grill, one of the hotel's key outlets. Reporting to the Director of Food and Beverage and Outlet General Managers, the F&B Manager plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional dining experiences through leadership, training, and operational oversight. This role demands a flexible and dynamic individual, able to provide effective floor coverage across all meal periods depending on business needs, paid time off coverage, and special events.

The F&B Manager is directly responsible for guest satisfaction within the restaurant and hospitality areas, ensuring that all aspects of food, beverage, and service quality meet the highest standards. Responsibilities also include recruiting, training, and developing front-of-house team members, maintaining inventory and stocking, managing shifts to ensure adequate coverage, and enforcing employee conduct and appearance standards. The Manager works closely with other F&B managers to foster strong teamwork and communication.

Because The Standard is a high-energy, high-volume establishment, this role requires an inspiring and motivational leader with a positive attitude and excellent multitasking abilities. The position requires fluency in English and is ideal for someone familiar with the Squirrel POS system. The Manager must thrive under pressure, maintain confidentiality, and consistently deliver guest-oriented service. The work environment involves physical demands such as standing for long periods and handling occasional lifting.

The compensation for this full-time position is $75,000, accompanied by an excellent range of benefits including affordable healthcare, life and disability insurance, pet insurance, 401k with company match, paid time off, and employee discounts across hotel services. Additional perks include employee meals, referral programs, commuter discounts, and regular staff events that build community and celebrate achievements.

Joining The Standard as Food and Beverage Manager means becoming part of a vibrant family dedicated to disrupting traditional hospitality expectations. It is an invitation to be part of a creative team in a dynamic, culturally rich atmosphere that values authenticity, fun, and memorable guest experiences.
