Universal Orlando Resort is a premier entertainment destination located in Orlando, Florida, known for its immersive theme parks and exceptional guest experiences. As a leader in the theme park and hospitality industry, Universal Orlando offers a dynamic work environment where creativity, inclusivity, and guest satisfaction are paramount. The resort provides a range of employment opportunities within its Food & Beverage divisions, specifically in full service front-of-house roles that contribute directly to the memorable dining experiences of its guests. These roles are casual, part-time positions designed for individuals who enjoy engaging with customers in a fast-paced, lively setting. Each position plays an important part in delivering excellent service through teamwork, attention to detail, and a welcoming attitude.
There are multiple front-of-house opportunities available including Host/Hostess, Tipped Food Runner, and Tipped Busser positions. The Host/Hostess role focuses on greeting and seating guests, managing wait lists, answering queries about menus and the park, and ensuring that guests feel welcomed and comfortable prior to dining. This position pays $18.50 per hour and is suited for those who excel in customer interaction and multitasking. The Tipped Busser position, paying $10.98 per hour, involves maintaining cleanliness in the dining area, resetting tables efficiently, replenishing condiments, and assisting guests with requests such as high chairs or booster seats. This role is foundational to upholding the overall dining environment and guest satisfaction. The Tipped Food Runner, also compensated at $10.98 per hour, is responsible for delivering food and beverages to guests, ensuring that each dish meets quality standards, and coordinating with other team members to fulfill guest needs quickly and accurately. Importantly, Food Runners must have knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and table layouts to effectively describe offerings and enhance the guest experience.
All these roles require individuals to be at least eighteen years old to handle specific responsibilities such as serving alcoholic beverages, and participants must complete Universal Orlando's Alcohol Awareness Program where applicable. Ideal candidates possess a high school diploma or GED and bring customer service experience, preferably within food and beverage environments. The resort emphasizes environmental, health, and safety standards that all employees must actively support and follow. Working at Universal Orlando offers the chance to grow professionally in a vibrant atmosphere, engage with diverse guests and team members, and be part of one the world’s most recognizable leisure brands. These part-time positions provide flexible schedules and competitive pay rates, making them excellent entry points for those passionate about hospitality and guest services in a fun, energetic workplace. Universal Orlando is committed to equal employment opportunity and fostering an inclusive environment for all employees.
