Job Requirements

  • Must be 18+ years old
  • Approved Food Sanitation Safety Course and Certification (FSS) or Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) (must obtain within first 90 days)
  • Ability to travel to various Ebenezer Senior Living communities throughout Minnesota
  • Ability to work full-time day or early evening schedule, including every other weekend
  • Ability to supervise kitchen staff

Job Qualifications

  • Approved Food Sanitation Safety Course and Certification (FSS) or Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) (must obtain within first 90 days)
  • Preferred 1 to 3 years of previous experience
  • Preferred vocational or technical training or associate degree in food service

Job Duties

  • Fills in for chef vacancies at various Ebenezer locations
  • Assists with special events
  • Follows standardized recipes to ensure products are consistent in quality and nutritional value
  • Handles and prepares food in a safe manner, following policies and procedures for infection control and safety
  • Cleans and sanitizes equipment after each use or per the routine cleaning schedule
  • Ability to supervise kitchen staff
