Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of management experience in an Executive Sous Chef or similar leadership role within a high-volume, full-service restaurant
  • Strong passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences through food
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong culinary fundamentals including ingredient sourcing, cooking techniques, preparation methods, and kitchen operations
  • NYC Department of Health Food Protection Certification required
  • Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation standards, and operational best practices
  • Experience leading, mentoring, and developing kitchen teams
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office
  • Open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations ensuring food quality and consistency
  • Manage kitchen staff through leadership, mentoring, and development
  • Coordinate with Executive Chef to implement menu changes and special events
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation
  • Manage food ordering, inventory, and prep systems efficiently
  • Collaborate with Front of House leadership to ensure smooth service execution
  • Ensure compliance with NYC Department of Health Food Protection standards
