Job Requirements

  • minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of three years of sous chef experience
  • minimum of three years of catering experience
  • valid and reliable transportation
  • ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • excellent communication skills including responsiveness via phone and email
  • availability to work flexible hours primarily including nights and weekends
  • ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • current ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain

Job Duties

  • enforce and maintain all kitchen standards and procedures as directed by the Executive Chef
  • read event orders to prepare and execute catered events
  • learn and manage all prep and roles of the a la carte menu stations
  • maintain ServSafe certification and uphold all Office of Food Protection Health and Safety standards
  • perform duties of expo or lead line cook during service
  • checkout line cooks and close down kitchen after service or events
  • participate in feature menu item creation and execution
  • complete all orders after detailed inventory walkthrough
  • attend weekly event meetings and other required staff meetings
  • assist leadership in maintaining budgetary labor and food cost goals
