Job Requirements

  • Luxury hotel, event venue, or upscale catering experience
  • Expertise in weddings, galas, corporate events, and social functions
  • Strong vendor relationships and purchasing experience
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Job Qualifications

  • 10+ years of culinary leadership experience in luxury hospitality and events
  • 5+ years as an executive chef
  • Proven experience leading high-volume ($10M+) banquet and catering operations
  • Strong expertise in food cost control, budgeting, labor management, and team development
  • Union experience in New York City

Job Duties

  • Lead all culinary operations for banquets, weddings, and special events
  • Develop innovative menus and oversee event execution from planning through service
  • Manage culinary staffing, training, scheduling, and performance
  • Ensure food quality, presentation, profitability, and compliance with health and safety standards
  • Partner with catering, events, and sales teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences and successful events
