Job Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of professional culinary experience
- At least 2 years in a leadership or executive chef role
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred
- Strong knowledge of Pacific Northwest and Italian regional cuisines
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Physical ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a high-volume, creative kitchen
- Deep knowledge of seasonal cooking with a focus on regional Italian cuisine and PNW ingredients
- Strong culinary skills and creativity
- Ability to manage kitchen operations including budgeting, inventory, and cost control
- Excellent leadership, communication, and mentorship abilities
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to continuously learn and improve
- Passion for fresh, high-quality ingredients and detail-oriented approach
Job Duties
- Collaborate with the culinary director to develop and execute innovative, seasonal menus that showcase the best of local PNW ingredients
- Lead and mentor your team, setting the standard for quality, consistency, and professionalism in the kitchen
- Ensure the kitchen runs like a well-oiled machine, from staffing and inventory to cost control and execution
- Bring fresh ideas to the table, creating new dishes that reflect the vibrant, diverse culinary scene of Seattle
- Perfectly execute current menus, large parties and events that delight guests
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness, safety, and organization in the kitchen
