We are currently seeking a Rock Star Executive Chef to join our team at Dominican Village in Amityville, NY. This role is vital to continuing our tradition of culinary excellence and leadership. As an Executive Chef, you will play a key role in leading a culinary team dedicated to providing high-quality dining experiences for residents in both independent and assisted living settings. You will oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring food is not only nutritious but also visually stunning and aligned with current culinary trends. The ideal candidate brings strong executive or sous chef experience, particularly in high-volume institutional or multi-outlet environments such as hospitals, schools, colleges, senior living, or corporate dining.

Your leadership will extend beyond the kitchen to mentoring and inspiring culinary team members to cultivate a fun, creative, and growth-oriented culture. You will apply your culinary expertise to menu development, presentation innovation, and catering management. This role demands impeccable communication skills and a thorough understanding of restaurant management principles, cost control, inventory, and compliance with health and safety regulations. The Executive Chef position offers a salary range of $74,500 to $77,500 annually and promises a healthy work-life balance with no late nights and consecutive days off. Job Requirements

  • 3-5 plus years in a supervisory experience as sous chef or executive chef
  • High volume background
  • Institutional facility or multi-outlet experience preferred
  • Impeccable communication skills
  • Strong restaurant management knowledge
  • Thorough knowledge of menu implementation with stunning presentation ideas
  • Strong catering experience
  • Culinary degree strongly preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an executive chef or in a leadership culinary role
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills
  • Experience in healthcare or senior living dining is a plus
