Job Requirements

  • Five years chef experience in high volume restaurant, country club, catering, or cultural attraction venue
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven leadership and team building abilities
  • Exceptional problem solving and decision making skills
  • Demonstrated financial management and planning skills
  • Ability to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift boxes up to 35 lbs
  • Computer knowledge for office functions
  • Commitment to company policies and safety regulations

  • ServSafe Certified
  • Knowledge of HACCP

Job Duties

  • Interview, hire, evaluate, reward, and coach kitchen personnel as appropriate
  • Develop culinary training programs and promote quality food services
  • Ensure completion of safety training for all staff
  • Train kitchen personnel in safe equipment operation and food production principles
  • Assist General Manager with sales forecasting
  • Direct production and dish room staff
  • Maintain positive client relationships
  • Manage employees according to labor laws
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Uphold company policies and procedures
  • Perform guest service steps to ensure memorable experiences
  • Supervise inventory in food and beverage areas
  • Prepare standard and gourmet food items
  • Monitor cooking and holding temperatures
  • Establish maintenance schedules and provide safety training
  • Ensure consistency and quality across operations
  • Plan menus based on trends, preferences, and nutrition
  • Inspect food preparation, appearance, and cleanliness
