Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • six years of progressive hotel culinary experience
  • four years in a senior culinary role
  • experience with high volume kitchen operations
  • ability to work long hours under pressure
  • strong leadership and team management capabilities
  • proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • excellent communication skills in English
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • willingness to maintain communication with corporate staff

Job Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
  • six years or more of progressive hotel culinary experience, typically with Hyatt
  • previous hotel pre-opening experience preferred
  • service-oriented style with professional presentation skills
  • at least four years experience in a senior culinary role
  • proven leadership skills

  • proven track record in high volume property

  • clear concise written and verbal communication in English

Job Duties

  • Train food prep employees
  • instill safety and sanitation habits in all employees
  • teach employees the importance of consistency in preparation and presentation
  • maintain thorough knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques
  • ensure consistent quality, portion control, and plate presentation
  • coach and counsel employees to reflect Hyatt service standards and procedures
