We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Full Time Executive Chef to join our culinary team at Bavette's Bar & Boeuf. This leadership role is essential in upholding the high standards for which Hogsalt is celebrated. The successful candidate will be passionate about fostering a positive and productive kitchen environment while contributing to the overall success and financial health of the restaurant. The position offers a competitive salary starting at $100,000 per year plus a bonus structure, reflecting both the responsibility and opportunity for growth associated with this role. This full-time opportunity includes a robust benefits package that supports employees’ health, well-being, and professional development.
As the Executive Chef, you will lead the back-of-house operations with a focus on excellence, consistency, and collaboration. Your responsibilities will include managing all kitchen staff, overseeing food quality standards, handling inventory and supply ordering, and ensuring compliance with all policies and operational procedures. You will work closely with various departments including events, marketing, purchasing, and front-of-house teams to promote the overall brand image and financial performance of the restaurant. Your role also entails critical financial management tasks such as monitoring food costs, labor schedules, and the restaurant's profit and loss statements.
We expect our Executive Chef to be a proactive problem solver with a strong understanding of cost-of-goods sold (COGS) and proven strategies to enhance profitability. Your leadership will be pivotal in maintaining a harmonious work culture where coaching, training, and staff development are top priorities. Open communication with guests, vendors, and leadership is vital, as is active participation in the hiring, training, and evaluation processes for kitchen staff. Physical stamina is required as this role demands the ability to frequently lift items weighing up to 50 pounds and maintain availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Joining Bavette's Bar & Boeuf means becoming part of a hospitality group that prioritizes genuine hospitality, energy, and a joyful work environment. Our culinary team prides itself on crafting dishes that delight and satisfy while supporting each other and growing together professionally. If you are an experienced executive chef looking for a challenging yet rewarding leadership opportunity within a renowned restaurant group, we encourage you to apply and contribute to our continued success and reputation.Show Less
