The Event Crew Member role is a vital position within the venue's operational team, primarily responsible for executing the changeover process between scheduled events. This role involves physically demanding tasks such as setting up and tearing down chairs, flooring, barricades, staging, tables, and other equipment essential to event success. Beyond changeovers, the crew member assists with various building maintenance duties including painting, trash disposal, facility upkeep, snow removal, and furniture moving. Working as an Event Crew Member requires a positive appearance and attitude, along with the physical ability to perform labor-intensive tasks that include heavy lifting, bending, climbing, and walking extensive shifts. Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
- 1 to 3 years of event change over experience
- ability to work under deadlines driven by event schedules and project timetables
- ability to work independently and as a team
- ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form
- must be adaptable with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
Job Duties
- Participate in all aspects of the conversion process for events
- setting-up and tearing down flooring, chairs, barricades, staging, tables, and other furnishings and equipment
- responding to promoter/clients' needs as directed
- work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- assist, when necessary, with pre/post event cleaning
- meet the physical demands of this job, which include being able to get in and around the facility, walking the entire shift, bending, lifting, carrying, moving, climbing, working from various heights, and moderate to loud noises
- maintain outside grounds including parking areas, entrances, event plaza and snow removal as required
- perform repairs and maintenance tasks as needed such as painting, patching, and other conversion related operational equipment
- follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively in both oral and written form
- operate equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, scissor lifts or other light power equipment
- training and certification required
- maintain an effective working relationship with other departments, clients, and patrons encountered in the course of employment
- work effectively under pressure and stringent schedule to produce accurate results
- other duties and responsibilities as assigned
