Founded in 1824, the university offers more than 200 undergraduate and graduate programs to a student body exceeding 8,300. Jefferson Health is one of the top 15 not-for-profit healthcare systems nationally and operates 32 hospital campuses along with over 700 outpatient and urgent care centers.
Jefferson’s commitment extends beyond patient care, focusing on making communities healthier, preparing future healthcare professionals for 21st-century careers, and promoting innovative research across various disciplines. The organization offers extensive employment opportunities with an emphasis on equity and inclusion, ensuring an environment free from discrimination based on age, race, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected status.
The position available is for an Environmental Services Aide, who will work under the direct supervision of the Environmental Services Supervisor at Lansdale Hospital, part of Jefferson Health. This role is essential in maintaining a safe and clean environment conducive to patient healing and visitor satisfaction. Responsibilities include daily cleaning duties and distribution of supplies to designated areas in accordance with both the department’s and hospital’s policies and procedures. Being the frontline representative of the facility, the aide must greet patients and visitors of all ages with courtesy, contributing to a positive experience through quality cleaning and professional communication.
This full-time role entails working biweekly weekends and rotating holidays, emphasizing adaptability and teamwork within a dynamic healthcare setting. The ideal candidate possesses good communication skills, attention to detail, and customer service capabilities. While prior housekeeping experience is helpful, it is not a requirement, making this a great opportunity for individuals seeking entry into healthcare environmental services.

Jefferson Health provides a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, retirement plans, tuition assistance, and more.
