Job Requirements

  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years experience preferred
  • Food Handlers Certification required
  • TABC certification required
  • CPR certification preferred
  • Ability to communicate in English and Spanish helpful
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical job functions
  • Hearing and visual ability to observe safety and emergency situations
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs and push/pull carts up to 150 lbs

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience in the culinary field
  • Minimum of 5 years experience preferred
  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef in a high-end hotel or fine dining establishment
  • Extensive knowledge of menu development, marketing insight, cost, and wage control
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to communicate in English verbally and in writing
  • Ability to analyze and forecast data for payroll and production control
  • Ability to supervise large staff and meet goals timely
  • Proficient in menu planning, cost control, inventory management
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Considerable mathematical skills to interpret reports and budgets
  • TABC certification required
  • Food Handlers Certification required
  • CPR certification preferred
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish helpful

Job Duties

  • Develop and execute creative and innovative menus that meet the expectations of diverse clientele
  • Manage all kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety according to health regulations
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire the kitchen staff fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Collaborate with purchasing and finance departments to manage food costs and budgets
  • Ensure timely and efficient food service maintaining consistency in taste and presentation
  • Stay informed on industry trends and culinary techniques to enhance offerings
  • Implement and enforce standard operating procedures to streamline kitchen processes
  • Oversee inventory management, ordering, and stock control to minimize waste
  • Coordinate with event planners and sales team for private events and banquets
  • Perform other duties as assigned
