Job Description

McLane Company is a well-established leader in the distribution industry, with a rich history spanning over 130 years. Founded in 1894, McLane has built a vast and agile nationwide network of team members and clients across multiple sectors, including restaurants, retail, and e-commerce. The company is recognized for its strong dedication to safety, reliability, and innovation, frequently integrating the latest technology and ongoing team member training to maintain its position as an industry pioneer. McLane's people-centered culture fosters a supportive work environment where employees can build long-lasting careers supported by competitive benefits and comprehensive professional development.

The Shuttle Driver role at McLane is a critical position responsible for the efficient and safe delivery of trailers between the domicile and the distribution center. Drivers ensure full trailers are delivered on time and empty trailers are returned promptly, playing an essential part in maintaining the logistics flow that supports America's favorite brands. McLane offers a career pathway designed to provide drivers with industry-leading pay, strong client relationships, and improved work-life balance by getting drivers home more frequently and safely. The company deeply values safety and reliability, requiring drivers to adhere to Department of Transportation regulations including pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and accurate log maintenance. This position accommodates experienced drivers who are at least 21 years old and possess a valid CDL Class A license, with a minimum of one year or 50,000 miles of verifiable tractor trailer experience. McLane also maintains rigorous risk rating standards to uphold safety and operational excellence.

Beyond the driving responsibilities, McLane invests heavily in its employees with day one benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, alongside financial security through 401(k) profit-sharing plans, paid holidays, vacation time, and sick leave accrual. Additional perks include pet insurance, family leave options, employee assistance programs, tuition reimbursement, and more. The company is committed to an inclusive hiring process, considering applicants regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status. A background check and drug screen may be required, in line with legal guidelines. If you are a safety-focused, reliable, adaptable, and dedicated professional seeking to grow your CDL-A driving career, McLane invites you to join their team and be part of a company moving America forward together.
