Job Description

Southall Farm and Inn is a unique hospitality establishment dedicated to inspiring culinary consciousness by crafting distinctive, seasonal experiences that highlight the journey from seed to plate. Located in a serene setting, Southall combines the beauty of nature with the art of fine dining to offer guests immersive culinary adventures deeply connected to the land and its bounty. The establishment is renowned for its commitment to sustainability, seasonal cuisine, and storytelling that transcends the conventional dining experience, making each visit not just a meal but a memorable story that guests carry with them.

Southall includes Dottie's, a hidden speakeasy that complements the main dining experience by focusing on intimate conversations, elevated cocktails, and carefully curated small plates. As a Server at Dottie's, you will be entrusted with guiding guests through a discreet, personalized, and immersive dining experience. This role demands warmth, precision, and personality, ensuring that every table feels special and connected to the spirit of Dottie's and Southall's seed-to-table philosophy.

The Server's responsibilities are manifold and pivotal in delivering the exceptional experience Southall promises. You will be expected to deliver story-driven service that reflects the essence of the establishment, exhibiting deep knowledge of the menu offerings, seasonal ingredients, and cocktail selections. Accurate order taking, including sensitivity to allergies and preferences, seamless coordination with the kitchen and bar, and an anticipatory approach to guest needs are fundamental to this role. Adaptability is key, as you will gauge each table's vibe, tailoring your interactions from lively engagements to quiet privacy per guest preference.

Additional duties include promptly responding to guest requests, processing payment transactions with accuracy, assisting in resetting tables, side work, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting other food and beverage outlets during peak volumes. A collaborative spirit and a passion for hospitality and storytelling are essential qualities for success in this role.

Southall Farm and Inn offers a competitive compensation package alongside a comprehensive benefits program. Employees enjoy medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as generous paid time off and paid holidays. Retirement plans with company match, education reimbursement, wellness programs, employee assistance, and attractive internal growth opportunities further enrich the employment experience. The environment is inclusive and committed to equal opportunity, ensuring a workplace where merit and performance dictate career progression.
