As a Dishwasher at JOEY Restaurants, you play a fundamental role in the success of the kitchen team and the overall guest experience. The dishwasher position is vital, as it ensures that the kitchen operates smoothly, safely, and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include maintaining a clean and sanitary dining environment by managing washing duties for dishes, cutlery, glassware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment. You will operate and maintain dish machines, ensure the proper temperature and sanitizer levels are met to comply with health codes, and carry out opening and closing duties to support your team. The role requires you to stay organized, efficient, and proactive to anticipate the needs of your colleagues in a fast-paced and demanding setting.

Job Requirements
- Valid local and/or state Food Handler permits or ability to obtain
- Passion for hospitality
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Physical ability to walk and stand for long periods
- Capability to perform frequent bending, reaching, stretching, and repetitive tasks
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Strong problem-solving skills

Job Qualifications
- Must have or be able to obtain valid local and/or state Food Handler permits
- Possess a passion for hospitality and a proven track record of creating world-class hospitality experiences

- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

Job Duties
- Set up, clean, polish, and break down the dish machine
- change the dishwater periodically
- Wash dishes, cutlery, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and other equipment then stock and organize to their designated areas
- Exercise required sanitation practices for dish handling by maintaining the dish area in a clean, sanitary, and safe manner while complying with all required food handling and workplace safety procedures
- Monitor the dish machine to ensure wash and rinse cycles do not fall below safety standard temperatures
- Ensure the temperatures and ppm levels of sanitizers in the dish machine and sinks always comply with health code
- Complete assigned opening, side work, and closing duties to set your team up for success and support the kitchen team as needed
- Follow all instructions and guidelines for safe usage of kitchen equipment and cleaning compounds
- Report any equipment problems and maintenance issues to leadership immediately
- Follow all food service and handling safety precautions and procedures
