Known for its commitment to compassionate services and a vibrant community atmosphere, Spring Lake Village offers a range of housing and care options tailored to the needs of seniors. The community emphasis lies in creating an environment where residents can thrive physically, mentally, and socially while enjoying the comforts of home and personalized support. Spring Lake Village operates with a focus on respect, dignity, and integrity, ensuring that every resident receives attentive and professional care.
The hiring opportunity at Spring Lake Village is for a part-time Food Service Dishwasher position, offering 30 hours per week with a competitive pay range of $23.00 to $24.00 per hour. Under the supervision of the Director of Dining Services or the Executive Chef, the Dishwasher plays a critical role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and dining areas. This role ensures that tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment are cleaned efficiently and safely to support the smooth operation of dining services. The Dishwasher's duties extend beyond simply washing dishes; they are entrusted with upholding health and safety standards, performing cleaning and sanitization tasks, and ensuring the availability of clean kitchenware at all times.
This position requires working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment where candidates must be comfortable standing for long periods and working in hot, wet, humid, and loud surroundings. The role also demands adherence to established safety protocols, including the use of required safety equipment and following proper body mechanics to prevent injury. In addition to the core tasks of operating the dish machine and maintaining cleanliness, the Dishwasher supports overall kitchen operations by assisting wherever needed and complying with all federal, state, and corporate policies related to food handling.
Candidates for this position will hold a Food Handlers' certification issued by the local health department and possess at least some high school education. While one month of related experience or training is not mandatory, it is considered a beneficial addition. Spring Lake Village prides itself on diversity and inclusion and upholds equal employment opportunities for all applicants.
The selected candidate will undergo a pre-employment physical, physical abilities test, drug screening, and criminal background check as part of the hiring process. This role is essential to ensuring that the kitchen and service areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and safety, ultimately contributing to the positive dining experience of the senior residents. The Dishwasher position at Spring Lake Village offers a rewarding opportunity to be part of a respected team that values dedication, hard work, and quality service in a supportive community environment.
