The Dishwasher position at Wesley Palms is a full-time role with working days from Wednesday through Sunday, from 11:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with Mondays and Tuesdays off. The pay range for this position is $19.00 to $21.00 per hour, reflecting the community's commitment to competitive and fair compensation. This role is integral to the Dining Services department, where maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards is crucial to the health and satisfaction of residents.

Under the supervision of the Director of Dining Services or Executive Chef, the Dishwasher is responsible for washing and cleaning tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment. This position requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a strong commitment to maintaining a safe and sanitary environment. The Dishwasher helps ensure that the kitchen and dining operations run smoothly by keeping the dish room organized and clean and by handling cleaning equipment properly. Working conditions include standing for long periods in a hot, wet, and sometimes noisy environment, which requires stamina and the ability to follow strict hygiene and safety protocols.

This role also requires good customer service skills to interact effectively with residents, families, co-workers, and vendors. The Dishwasher must monitor dishwashing machinery, ensuring it functions correctly and complies with required sanitation standards by checking water temperatures and keeping the machine clean. Responsibilities include managing and maintaining adequate cleaning supplies and dish detergents, taking out trash, and filling in as needed to support kitchen operations when directed. Following established health and safety standards is critical in this position, including adhering to fire and disaster plans and participating in safety programs.
