- Previous dishwasher, food service or related experience preferred

Job Duties
- Provide quality customer service efficiently to residents, families, co-workers and vendors
- Load, run and unload the dish machine
- Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately
- Monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle
- Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes or silverware
- Keep dish room clean and organized
- Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen
- Bag and haul dish room trash to dumpster at designated times
- Safely lift bags, cases and stacks
- Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss
- Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies
- Clean food preparation and production areas as required
- Be available to fill in as needed to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operation
- Work in standing position and hot, wet, humid and loud environment for long periods
- Follow highest standards of cleanliness and comply with all food safety policies
- Perform all duties safely and wear safety equipment as required
- Follow department safety standards and campus-wide safety programs
- Attend all mandatory in-service meetings
- Comply with all department and facility policies and procedures
- Understand facility's fire and disaster plans and follow procedures during emergencies
