The role of Director of Sales & Marketing (DOS) at Marriott Hutchinson Island Beach Resort, Golf and Marina is a critical leadership position responsible for spearheading the resort's sales and marketing initiatives. This is a full-time role designed for a service-oriented, motivated, and collaborative individual who thrives in dynamic environments. The DOS will develop and maintain strong customer relationships, creatively lead and motivate sales teams, and drive top-line revenue growth through innovative strategies and effective execution. This leadership position requires a deep understanding of market trends, competitive analysis, and customer needs to provide tailored solutions that exceed expectations.
The DOS’s responsibilities encompass crafting and implementing strategies targeted at both new and existing markets, ensuring the resort’s sales and marketing efforts align with the overall Marketing Plan. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum three years of experience as director of sales
- Proven leadership capabilities in sales and marketing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Willingness to adapt and respond to a dynamic market environment
Job Qualifications
- Prior director of sales experience of three or more years
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to analyze financial and competitive data to make informed decisions
- Prior experience leading, motivating, and managing successful sales teams
- Prior brand experience and market knowledge desirable
Job Duties
- Provide the highest quality of service to customers at all times
- Develop and execute strategies to drive business in new and existing markets
- Establish and maintain positive business and customer relationships
- Understand and keep up to date with industry and competitive landscape knowledge
