The Director of Finance serves a key leadership role at Highgate Hotels located in the Best Western property in Honolulu, HI. This position is responsible for providing consistent financial oversight focusing on the profitability of the hotel business. The director maintains accurate and timely financial reporting, ensures acceptable levels of internal control, and enforces compliance with federal, state, local regulations, and company standard operating procedures. The role supports safeguarding owners' and investors' assets while driving sound fiscal management practices. This involves managing cash flows, monitoring revenues and expenses, developing budgets, conducting variance analysis, and implementing internal financial controls. The Director of Finance also manages audits and coordinates with external CPA firms to ensure financial integrity. Supervising, training, and developing finance staff and maintaining alignment with corporate standards to operate the hotel efficiently are critical to the success of the role. This position requires expertise in hospitality finance/accounting and leadership experience, preferably within premium-branded hotels.
