Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Five or more years culinary experience in the hospitality industry
- Food handlers permit as required by state law or company standards
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to resolve problems with dissatisfied customers or employees
- Must meet company motor vehicle policy standards
- May require driving responsibilities with company or personal vehicle

Job Duties
- Manage and supervise all Culinary Services staff including scheduling, assignments, direction, performance reviews, hiring, and corrective actions
- meet regularly with residents and family members to ensure high satisfaction levels
- collaborate with restaurant manager or coordinator to provide excellent customer service and a restaurant-style dining atmosphere
- coordinate front of house and back of house staff to deliver superior food products
- assist kitchen and restaurant staff with all operations as needed, including working all stations
- maintain customer satisfaction and quality enhancement scores
- delegate tasks to maintain cleanliness and quality standards
- ensure food preparation, storage, and service comply with company standards and health codes
- maintain employee satisfaction scores
- conduct interviews and hire culinary staff
- lead monthly department meetings and in-services
- manage monthly and annual budgets for food, supplies, and labor with documentation
- plan and develop recipes and menus based on resident preferences and budgets
- oversee proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment
- maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and tableware
- manage purchasing standards and vendor relationships
- plan and execute community events, special events, banquets, and themed meals
- work with community sales director and staff to market the community via special dining events
- ensure staff meets company expectations and first impression requirements
- perform other duties as assigned or requested
