We are dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care by blending advanced surgical techniques with the latest in medical technology. Recognized for our commitment to both our patients and our staff, we foster a workplace culture built on respect, teamwork, and continuous learning. This emphasis enables us to create a supportive atmosphere where employees are empowered to grow professionally and personally while making a meaningful impact in the healthcare sector.
We are currently seeking a motivated Surgical Technology Student to join our esteemed surgical team. This position is designed specifically for individuals who are actively enrolled in an accredited Surgical Technology Program and have successfully completed their first semester. As a Surgical Technology Student, you will work under the direct supervision of a certified surgical technologist and the professional operating room nurse, assisting in various operating room and surgical functions. Your role will be instrumental in supporting surgical procedures across a patient population that includes infants, children, adolescents, and adults.
This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, technology-driven surgical environment. Your responsibilities will include assisting the surgical team before, during, and after procedures, maintaining sterile fields, preparing surgical instruments and equipment, and participating in departmental maintenance. You will also develop proficiency in scrub roles, understand the setup and use of service equipment, and learn to operate sterilizers effectively. This role emphasizes ethical practices, adherence to hospital policies, and fostering positive workplace communication to promote teamwork and patient safety.
The position requires a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, which underscores the critical need for competency in emergency cardiac procedures. We value individuals who demonstrate ethical business practices, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient surgical environment. In addition to technical skills, this role encourages problem-solving, self-directed learning, and participation in process improvement activities.
By joining our team as a Surgical Technology Student, you will be part of a forward-thinking healthcare organization that values innovation and the wellbeing of its staff and patients alike.
