The Custodial Services Lead Worker position at Aramark is a vital role within the facilities management team, responsible for maintaining cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency in assigned areas. This leadership role involves overseeing a custodial team, assigning daily tasks, and ensuring that cleaning standards meet both Aramark and client expectations. The role requires adherence to strict safety regulations including OSHA, state, local, and federal guidelines to provide a safe working environment not only for the custodial staff but also for all building occupants. The Custodial Services Lead Worker plays a key role in maintaining facility security by managing building access and safeguarding company assets.
In this position, the lead worker will schedule and delegate tasks, ensure proper use and maintenance of housekeeping equipment, and oversee the proper disposal of trash and waste materials following established procedures. Reporting maintenance issues promptly to the appropriate personnel is also a critical responsibility to maintain the facility’s functionality and appearance. The role may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and long periods of standing or walking. Furthermore, wearing uniforms and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required to comply with safety standards.
Candidates for this role need previous custodial experience, with supervisory experience preferred, along with the capability to operate independently with minimal supervision. Job Duties
- Schedules and assigns daily work assignments to a custodial team and leads all aspects of completion of tasks
- adheres to established procedures to provide a safe working environment including aligning with OSHA, state/local, federal, and Aramark regulations
- maintains a clean and orderly environment to project the safety and health of others
- accurately cleans and maintains housekeeping equipment
- cleans assigned areas to Aramark and client standards and requirements
- follows procedures for storage and disposal of trash and transports it to designated areas
- reports maintenance concerns via work order requests to appropriate personnel
- secures the facility, ensuring building is locked/unlocked as required
- ensures security of company assets
