Buckner Villas, located at 11110 Tom Adams Drive, Austin, TX, is currently seeking a full-time Culinary Server to join their dedicated team. This role involves playing a vital part in delivering outstanding service that meets or surpasses Buckner's standards for quality, hospitality, and resident satisfaction. As a Culinary Server, you will be responsible for all phases of food service, including setting tables, serving meals and beverages, preparing food and drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring the overall dining experience is both enjoyable and comfortable for residents. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who have a passion for hospitality and enjoy fostering happiness in others. The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to follow instructions carefully, and physical agility to manage various tasks throughout the shift.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience in food service or hospitality beneficial
  • ability to move food serving and preparation equipment weighing up to 20 pounds occasionally
  • ability to perform physical tasks such as turning, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, handling, standing, and walking over 75% of the shift
  • ability to recognize operational problems or safety concerns with kitchen equipment
  • compliance with Patient Rights and regulatory requirements
  • ability to follow company policies and procedures
  • ability to communicate clearly in English
  • availability for full-time work onsite at Buckner Villas

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to read, write and understand business documents written in English
  • effective verbal communication skills with residents, families, visitors and co-workers
  • ability to follow basic written and oral step-by-step instructions
  • ability to safely utilize kitchen equipment
  • ability to work under close supervision performing routine standardized tasks
  • ability to cooperate and work with other employees
  • knowledge of basic food serving, cleanliness and sanitation requirements
  • good health to properly perform duties
