Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Completion of Chef's apprentice or equivalent preferred
  • One to two years experience as line cook for Senior Cook
  • Two to three years experience as Senior Cook or Line Cook for Chef Assistant
  • Knowledge of cooking processes or equivalent combination of education and experience

Job Qualifications

  • High school degree or GED preferred
  • Completion of Chef's apprentice or equivalent preferred
  • One to two years high-volume line cook experience for Senior Cook
  • Two to three years high-volume experience as Senior or Line Cook for Chef Assistant
  • Knowledge of cooking processes
  • Ability to train staff
  • Strong understanding of food safety standards

Job Duties

  • Stocks materials and supplies in hot/cold and dry areas
  • Maintains cost of goods control tools by performing quarterly updates of control cards, inventory packages, recipe books
  • Performs daily spot checks of portioning tools
  • Documents and records product spoilage daily
  • Performs cooking duties and related production functions
  • Ensures high food quality that meets Universal Orlando standards
  • Maintains clean work and surrounding areas
  • Ensures compliance with Florida's HACCP program
  • Participates in Environmental, Health & Safety policies and training
  • Orders supplies according to par levels and staffing projections
  • Receives and verifies inventory availability
  • Manages food presentation, quality, and waste prevention
  • Provides work direction and training to cooks and production workers
  • Monitors production staff breaks
  • Performs other duties as assigned
