Job Requirements

  • Possession of, or eligible for, a food handler's permit
  • One year of experience as a Food Service Worker or equivalent education/experience
  • Ability to work flexible hours and variable schedules
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and following infection control procedures
  • Willingness to work in a unionized environment
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Possession of, or eligible for, a food handler's permit
  • One year of experience as a Food Service Worker or equivalent education/experience
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes and adhere to food safety guidelines
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with kitchen staff and supervisors
  • Ability to work flexible per diem shifts including days as needed

Job Duties

  • Prepare accurate, high-quality food for patients following standardized recipes and procedures
  • Keep station and cooking equipment clean following all infection control procedures
  • Begin and end tray assembly including service ware, condiments, hot and cold items as finished by Line and Cold Pantry Cooks
  • Identify product needs and requisition items required to prepare tray assembly
  • Notify Sous Chef in advance of expected shortages
  • Prepare all lunch and dinner orders accurately and efficiently according to food preparation procedures
