This role is an exciting opportunity to join the Schlotzsky's team at one of its corporate locations as a Team Member. In this position, associates are empowered with the responsibility of preparing made-to-order meals and ensuring that every guest experiences a clean and friendly dining environment. Team members at Schlotzsky's are trained to operate efficiently across multiple stations within the restaurant, including food preparation, production, drive-thru, bakery, customer service, and cash handling areas. The emphasis on teamwork is critical, as each associate collaborates closely with others and follows leadership instructions to achieve daily operational success.

The Team Member role requires punctuality, adherence to uniform and personal grooming standards, and commitment to company policies and procedures. Safety and sanitation protocols are rigorously followed to maintain a healthy environment for both guests and staff. Team members are expected to foster a positive workplace atmosphere and maintain a pleasant demeanor by smiling consistently during their shifts. This role demands physical capability, including lifting objects up to 30 pounds, standing and walking throughout shifts, reaching, crouching, kneeling, and performing repetitive hand and arm movements. Handling of hot foods and sharp knives safely is also a critical aspect of the job. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain valuable experience in the food service industry while working in a dynamic team setting that values efficiency, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old to operate certain kitchen equipment
  • able to lift and carry objects up to 30 pounds
  • able to lift a 33-gallon trash bag from a garbage container
  • able to stand and walk during scheduled shifts
  • able to bend, reach, and kneel to access products or clean restaurant areas
  • able to perform repetitive hand and arm movements
  • able to safely perform repetitive cutting motions with a sharp knife
  • able to handle hot foods by hand for several seconds at a time during scheduled shifts

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in a fast-food or fast-casual restaurant preferred
  • ability to learn and operate multiple station tasks
  • strong teamwork and communication skills
  • customer service oriented
  • able to handle fast-paced work environment
  • basic math skills for cash handling
