Job Qualifications

  • One to three years experience in a Chinese kitchen, especially in wok station cooking
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation methods including stir-fry, roast, boil, steam, and fry techniques
  • Proficient in basic kitchen equipment and recipe execution
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
  • Positive attitude and passion for great food
  • Effective communication in English
  • Ability to work independently and handle stressful situations
  • Dedicated and willing to exceed job expectations

Job Duties

  • Passionately support the craft of Chinese cooking
  • Support and encourage team members
  • Provide excellent guest care and service
  • Frequently use respectful language such as yes and thank you
  • Prepare food by following approved recipes and portions
  • Operate a wok station and other kitchen areas
  • Evaluate food quality by tasting and smelling
  • Set up and break down workstations per chefs' instructions
  • Comply with health and safety regulations

  • Complete all required closing tasks
