The Cook I position at SodexoMagic, based in the Delta Sky Club at Miami International Airport (MIA), offers full-time employment with a competitive pay rate of $20.00 per hour. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about food preparation and delivering excellent customer service within a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The position demands flexibility with varied shifts and open availability preferred, reflecting the nature of the hospitality and food service industry, especially in an airport lounge setting.

As a Cook I, you will play an integral role on the team by preparing and cooking a wide variety of nutritious dishes across multiple meal periods, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special catered events. Your responsibilities will extend beyond cooking to encompass ensuring food safety, reducing waste, and enhancing customer satisfaction through your culinary skills and friendly demeanor. Job Requirements

  • Successful completion of high school or equivalent
  • 0-2 years of previous related cooking experience beneficial
  • Reliable and punctual with good attendance record
  • Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
  • Willingness to work varying shifts with open availability preferred
  • Commitment to maintaining food safety and sanitation standards

Job Duties

  • Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events
  • Read and follow basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing various food items
  • Prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and/or operate a grill station
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Perform additional duties as assigned based on business necessities and client requirements
