Job Requirements
- Culinary degree or related training equivalent in the hospitality/restaurant industry
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
- Able to work safely in a high temperature, high humidity kitchen environment
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds regularly
- Willingness to work variable schedules including weeks over 40 hours
- Ability to read, understand, and produce documents promptly
- Comfortable working in shared noisy spaces without private offices
- Capable of handling frequent changing priorities professionally
Job Qualifications
- Culinary degree or related training in hospitality/restaurant industry
- Minimum 3 years relevant work experience in similar role
- Experience within luxury brand markets preferred
- Food Safety Manager certification preferred or to be attained within 30 days
- Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively and multi-task
- Proficient in handling knives and culinary tools
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and POS systems
- Understanding of production and operations in kitchen areas
- Familiarity with cleaning and use of kitchen equipment and machinery
Job Duties
- Prepare quality food for the restaurant, bar, Grand Performer meals, and banquets
- Greet and interact with guests in a professional and friendly manner
- Operate telephone system and maintain guest confidentiality
- Complete food temperature books and equipment checklists
- Prepare and present food items according to quality and presentation standards
- Rotate food in coolers and freezers to minimize waste
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of food prep areas and kitchen
- Assist dining room staff with table setting and guest service
- Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and maintain kitchen cleanliness
- Communicate guest requests and kitchen needs to leadership
- Maintain knowledge of menu items and kitchen equipment
