The Cook position at Sunrise Senior Living is a vital role within the Dining Services team, centered on the preparation and presentation of nutritious and enjoyable meals that meet the dietary needs of senior residents. This role requires attention to detail, creativity, and adherence to safety and sanitation protocols to ensure all food served promotes health and satisfaction. Cooks are responsible for following standardized recipes and accommodating special dietary requirements, which may include modifications for allergies, textures, or medical diets, ensuring each meal supports residents' well-being.

As a Cook, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean, organized kitchen environment that complies with food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and OSHA guidelines. Your duties extend beyond meal preparation to include monitoring food production quantities and temperatures, managing food inventory with proper stock rotation, and ensuring kitchen and equipment cleanliness. Additionally, you will support dishwashing and dining service activities as needed and may lead food production in the absence of the Dining Services Coordinator, showcasing leadership and teamwork.
