Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior customer service experience
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn specialized software
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to multitask and manage time effectively
  • familiarity with health and safety regulations relevant to senior living environments
  • capacity to follow detailed procedures and protocols
  • willingness to participate in mandatory training and compliance programs
  • ability to handle confidential information respectfully
  • flexibility to perform various administrative and reception duties
  • physical ability to maintain alertness and perform tasks requiring standing and walking
  • compliance with pre-employment screenings and health evaluations as required
  • valid driver’s license if driving Sunrise vehicles

Job Qualifications

  • High school degree or GED
  • proven customer service experience and skills
  • proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) and ability to learn new applications
  • knowledge of community safety protocols and emergency response procedures

Job Duties

  • Oversee the community entry area for visitors, guests, and residents
  • extend a warm welcome and greeting
  • offer and provide beverages to visitors and guests
  • ensure that the community safety protocols are in place
  • Contact the Director of Sales, Executive Director, or Department Coordinator to meet with prospective residents, families, or visitors and ensure wait times are minimal
  • Greet potential candidates interested in learning more about Sunrise careers and job openings and direct candidates to apply online or capture their information in the Applicant Tracking System
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and resident calls promptly with the appropriate greeting and identification
  • Take complete messages with pertinent information and communicate them to the intended recipient
  • Provide community overview to callers and direct them to appropriate contacts
  • Manage appointments for residents and family members
  • Send get well cards to residents in the hospital
  • Order Memory Flowers for residents who have passed
  • Send sympathy cards to families or responsible parties
  • Order flowers and nameplates for new residents prior to move-in
  • Order guest meals for resident and family on move-in day
  • Maintain marketing and move-in packet inventory
  • Support the Director of Sales with initial inquiry calls and CRM lead tracking
  • Perform administrative tasks related to resident move-in
  • Keep desk and entry area neat and organized
  • Monitor and maintain the Bistro area including refreshments and cleanliness
  • Ensure continuous music playing
  • Cover front desk duties as needed
  • Partner with the community team to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Practice safety procedures including use of PPE and emergency protocols
  • Maintain resident and team member rosters and work schedules for emergency procedures
  • Respond to emergencies according to policies
  • Ensure all guests and residents sign in and out appropriately
  • Maintain the high-risk elopement list
  • Update resident phone lists and registers daily
  • Prepare and tally meal tickets and collect money in accordance with business controls
  • Organize and distribute mail and newspapers
  • Post and display the daily menu
  • Maintain resident forms for miscellaneous credits
  • Assist with recruitment process and general administrative duties
  • Monitor and order office supplies
  • Track and disburse team member paychecks
  • Participate actively as a team member committed to team goals
  • Demonstrate Team Member Credo and Principles of Service daily
  • Contribute to customer and team member engagement programs
  • Attend regular meetings
  • Maintain compliance in required training
  • Perform other duties as assigned
